Joost de Boer
Joined the firm in 1989 and has been a managing director since 2013.
Prior to joining William Drake he studied woodworking and furniture making in Rotterdam. This College education included two apprenticeships with Dutch organ builders, Firma Flentrop and Henk van Eeken.
Joost is a fully qualified organ builder specialising in tonal design and voicing. He is fortunate to have 25 years of experience as assistant and voicer, working closely with William Drake.

Geert Noppers
Joined the firm in 1980 and has been a director of the firm since 2013. Before joining William Drake he worked for Mense Ruiter in Groningen.
Geert is a fully qualified organ builder who has been responsible for the design of casework and the design of the internal workings of our instruments since 1992.

Julia Brown
Joined in 1997, re-joined part-time 2009
Julia is an organ builder who qualified as Journeyman at the Berufschule für Orgelbau in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Prior to coming to England she was apprenticed to Gebr. Link in Giengen, Germany.

Marek Matuszyk
Joined in 2006
Prior to joining the workshop he was active as an experienced organ builder in Poland.
Marek is deputy workshop supervisor and all-round organ builder.

Mateusz Jabłoński
Mateusz joined our firm in October 2016 after having qualified for the Richard Bridge bursary.
This travel bursary is sponsored by The Friends of Christ Church Spitalfields.
He gained experience in organ building through working with Polish organ builders, developing skills in organ building, tonal finishing and a knowledge of the history of the organ.
He studied organ at the Pontifical University of Cracow and is now working as qualified organ builder with William Drake Limited.
